Here, as promised, is the good source for Delacroix's Faust illustrations.

And here are some other famous recordings of Schubert's "Gretchen am Spinnrade."
Kiri Te Kanawa (about 1980), HQ with music. Video (mono; same as in the lecture).
Barbara Bonney (singing now)
Elizabeth Schwarzkopf. Wow. (very fast version)
Lucia Popp. Crystalline.
Meta Seinemeyer. Orchestral version. 1928.
Ljuba Welitsch. (about 1950). Silky, liquid.
Renee Fleming.  Also her orchestral version live. Big, lyric voice, much like Te Kanawa. Singing now.

And finally, a couple versions of Liszt's transcription for solo piano, which means that the pianist plays both the accompaniment and the melody, technically very challenging. Luke Massery, Evgeny Kissin, Violetta Egorova (amazing, but not the greatest recording), and Boris Bloch (warhorse of a pianist).

For dessert, Jessye Norman sings Schubert's version of Goethe's "Erlkönig." Wow. (I think you had this already last semester, but one can never listen to it too often.)
